3 Gunners

Monthly match for January 11, 2015

Happy New Year to all!!

Well, it should not be a surprise looking at the weather forecast………..we have a 3-gun match scheduled for this weekend. With the current moist conditions at the club; additional rain of any significance will likely cause the match to be cancelled. If we luck out we are planning a match with 5 stages that will call for the equal use of all three guns with some 100 yard rifle shots down to some close quarter shotgun and pistol work. More detail to follow (round count etc) as we get closer and have a better idea on the weather. Hope to see you Sunday for the match.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

We have had a few questions regarding the fact we are looking for a new CCPRC 3-Gun match director (we already have a new CCPRC Steel Challenge Match Director) and if we are planning to have the big match in April as planned.

We would like to assure everyone we plan to have the shoot as scheduled. We will still need all the ROs and others that said they would help as originally planned, we would like all of you to contact the club to discuss details. We are in a transition process right now, so please be patient. The timing is such with the holidays that even though we are working diligently to address all the needed elements of this shoot, it may be after the new year before any big news is released. The club management is experienced and dedicated to putting on shoots that will draw shooters to return to the club.

thank you, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year!

Byron Hough, President of the Board CCPRC and Craig Cook, Manager CCPRC

Finally we got to shoot 3 Gun!

Today we saw gorgeous weather and 26 shooters come out to shoot 5 stages.  I want to thank all that helped to set up and tear down and our R.O.’s, we couldn’t do it without you.  Congrats to our high finishers:  JK high in Tac Op, R2 was our fast open shooter today, Hawk was our fastest limited shooter,  Diesel was our fastest Heavy Optic and your high 2 gun was Daniel.  Today we were well represented with shooters as far away as Oregon & Canada, and a great turnout from the RVG gang.  Thank you so much for coming.  We had 12 new shooters join us for the first time: Mel R., Emanuel V., Ross W., Daniel D., Darrell H., Bruce J., Barrett H., KB, Gordon T., Tino G., Terry S., and lady Lorni J.  Hope you guys had fun!  Hope I got everyone.  For you 3Gun Nation shooters, your scores are now uploaded at the 3GN website, log in to see how you did.  Our overall match scores are posted here.  See the December 14 3 Gun scores.
